Singing the Joys of Spring

Well I didn't get around to blogging last week due to one reason and another and sometimes that's just how it goes, but hopefully back on track this week..

Yellow is such an uplifting colour and there's so much of it about at the moment - the daffodils are now gone but the Forsythia is in full bloom although this week I've also noticed the dandelions popping up left, right and centre - not unattractive flowers but they take over the garden if left to their own devices so the weeding must begin...

There's been lots of sunshine around and mid-week we had the hottest day of the year so far.  I sat in the garden with a mug of tea, appreciating it all and listening to a robin and a blackbird having a "sing off" in the trees. The robin was very high up so apologies for him being a bit blurry!

The apple and cherry blossom that's been around recently (so beautiful but blink and you miss it!) inspired me to make this cherry quartz bracelet which is now in my online shop.

Finally, I have picked up a felting project which has been a VERY long time in the making.  There's a bit of a story to go with it and I hope to finish it this week-end so with a bit of luck I'll tell you more in my next post.  In the meantime, here's a quick peep ....

I'm joining in with Planet Penny's Happy Friday once again - interesting to see what everyone else has been up to this week

  6. Jayne, I was just thrilled to see what your robin looks like compared to mine! Yours is prettier, I think. Your bracelet is quite beautiful, and my favorite color, too. I lloved reading your description on your Etsy shop, and I think the hanging bauble adds just the perfect little touch.

    1. Thank you Julie - its always nice to have feedback on my little creations :) I thought my robin looked a little on the chubby side - but that's not a bad thing if you're a little bird!
