The Whirlwind of June

I didn't intend to be away from my blogging keyboard for so long, but this month has all been a bit hectic with 2 trips away (camping in Cornwall and a long week-end with family in Jersey), a rodent problem in the loft, a major setback with Mr Cocopopia's latest sculpture piece (involved more work getting things back over the roof and into his garden workshop again) and 2 separate trips to Accident & Emergency for me (a heavy nosebleed to be cauterised and a kidney stone to be pain-relieved).

Hopefully though, now all back on track again and lots of ideas for blog posts coming up.

Here are some of my favourite photos from our trip to Jersey.

Our trip just happened to coincide with the Jersey Street Pianos Festival

The common toad is a popular symbol for Jersey and we spotted it in various sculptures on our travels

Jersey is famous for growing flowers and due to the temperate climate, beautiful flowers can be found growing everywhere.

On our last day, it rained.  There's nothing like sheltering from the rain in a cosy cafe ...

  1. Oh my goodness, I do hope the nosebleed and kidney stone are now under control, you take good care of yourself. Your trip to Cornwall looks just idyllic, even the rain at the cafe looks wonderful. I love the pianos, what a great idea. Take care xx
